This is a collection of Verses and short Surah’s from the Quran that are to be recited as a means of protection and cure from Black Magic, Jinn, Shayateen, Witchcraft, Sihr, Sorcery, Evil Eye and the like as well as other harmful things.

Shykh Muhammad Zakariya al‐Kandahlawi (May Allah have mercy upon him) collected these verses in book form, which were already in use in his family as an antidote to witchcraft.

This collection is popularly referred to as Manzil. The collection has been recommended by the likes of Allama Shah Waliullah Dehlawi
(May Allah have mercy upon him) and Shaykh Muhammad Zakariya al‐Kandahlawi (May Allah have mercy upon him).

It is recommended that it should simply be recited once in the morning and once in the evening.

The elders were particularly punctual in reciting this it from amongst other dua and formulas for protection and cure.

It was customary to make special arrangements for children to commit this “Manzil” to memory.

Undoubtedly the ayah of the Qur’an and the dua that is mentioned in the ahadith are more effective and beneficial than the wearing of a ta’aweez.

In the formula of these amaliyaat (reciting of certain ayah and dua for a particular purpose), preference must be given to the Qur’an and ahadith.

The noble leader of the Ambiya, Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), has taught us a du’a for every occasion of our religious and worldly needs, In the experience of the scholars reciting of certain Ayaat and Du’a for particular purposes has also been experienced to be successful.

The reading of the “Manzil Dua” has been confirmed to be extremely effective for protection against the evil influence of Jinn, Sihr (witchcraft, sorcery etc.) and other evils.

These ayaats of the Qur’an have also been mentioned with a slight variation in the number of ayaat, in the book “Al Qawlul Jameel”, wherein it has also been mentioned that there are these thirty-three ayahs which ward off the effects of Sihr (witchcraft), and that they are a protection against the Shayatin (devils), thieves and harmful wild beasts.

Whenever anyone suggested the reading of these ayahs to a victim, they had to either indicate these verses in the respective books or write them down, Therefore it was felt that it would simplify this task if these ayahs were printed separately.

It should be considered and borne in mind that the effectiveness of the recital of these ayaat and du’as as a formula for specific purposes depends on the sincerity and; undisturbed and earnest devotion of the reader.

The effectiveness of the response to du’a is relative to the determination of one’s conviction and the depth of one’s sincerity with which Du’a are made.

“I am at Your service, O Allah, I am at Your service. You have no partner. I am at Your service. Praise and blessing belong to You, and the Kingdom. You have no partner.”

“Here I am, O Lord, here I am, you indeed have no partner, here I am. No Doubt, all praise, and bounties are yours, and so is the absolute Domain. You indeed have no partners, here I am”

Labaik allahuma labaik meaning in english

For more in-depth let’s read from

The Talbiyah has a number of meanings, such as:

1. Labaik Allahumma Labaik  (Here I am, O Allah, here I am)” is one response after another, which is repeated to show that the response is lasting and ongoing.

2. “Labaik Allahumma labbayk (Here I am, O Allah, here I am)” means, I submit and submit again, i.e., ongoing submission.

3. It may mean staying in one place (labba bi’l-makaan) and clinging to it, which means, I am persisting in obeying You, thus emphasizing the meaning of continuous servitude to Allah.

4. One of the meanings of the Talbiyah is confirming the love of Allah. There is an Arabic phrase imra’ah labbah (a loving woman) which refers to a woman who loves her child. One only says “Labbayk (Here I am at your service)” to a person whom one loves and respects.

5. It implies sincerity, as in the phrase lubb al-shay’ which means the essence of a thing and lubb al-rajul which means a man’s mind and heart.

6. It implies drawing close, as in the word ilbaab, which means drawing close, so it emphasizes the meaning of seeking to draw closer and closer to Allah.

7. It is a symbol of the Tawheed of the religion of Ibrahim, which is the spirit and aim of Hajj, indeed the spirit and aim of all the acts of worship. Hence the Talbiyah is the key to this act of worship that the pilgrim is embarking on.

The Talbiyah also includes:

Praise of Allah, which is the dearest thing with which a person may draw close to Allah.  It implies recognition of the blessings of Allah, for He is the source of all blessings and the One Who bestows them. It includes acknowledging that all sovereignty belongs to Allah alone, and no one else has any true dominion. (Mukhtasar Tahdheeb al-Sunan, Ibn al-Qayyim, 2/335-339)

When the pilgrim is reciting the Talbiyah, he feels a connection with all other created beings, as they all join with him in submission to Allah alone and echo his Talbiyah. The Messenger ﷺ said: “There is no Muslim who recites the Talbiyah but whatever is to his right and to his left of stones, rocks and clods recites it with him, to the furthest point to the east and the west” – meaning from his right and his left.” (At-Tirmidhi, 828)

Inner Dimensions of Talbiyah

We can understand and deduce the inner dimension of Talbiyah through the Hadeeth in which the Prophet ﷺ said: “When any pilgrim utters Talbiyah, every stone and tree on his right and on his left responds with a (similar) Talbiyah, until the whole earth resounds with it.” [Ibn Khuzaymah]

Reflect on this call and the act of repeating Talbiyah loudly as well as its external and internal impact and how it is related to the call of the founder of this great rite, the intimate friend of Allah, Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) عليه السلام when Allah The Almighty commanded him to call people and proclaim the message. Allah The Almighty promised him that He will convey his call to all people. Allah Says (what means):

{And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass.} [Qur’an, 22: 27]

It means: announce Hajj to mankind and call them to perform Hajj to this House which We have commanded you to build. It was said that Ibrahim عليه السلام said, “O Lord, how can I convey this to people when my voice will not reach them?’’ It was said, “Call them and We will convey it.” So, Ibrahim, you stood up (on his place, or on the Black Stone, or on (the mountain of) As-Safa or on (the mountain of) Abu Qubays and said, “O mankind! Your Lord has established a House so come for pilgrimage to it.’’ It is said that the mountains lowered themselves so that his voice would reach all the corners of the earth, and those who were still in their mothers’ wombs and their fathers’ loins would hear the call. The response came from everything that heard him, from stones, trees, and those whom Allah has decreed will make Hajj, until the Day of Resurrection: “We answer your call, O Allah, we answer your call.” [Ibn Katheer]

It is the slogan of declaring an identity. It also indicates that this rite is universal and brings happiness to all creatures, that all beings respond to it and that the Lord of all creatures and the whole universe blesses this rite.

It is the symbol of distinction which differentiates between the advocators of this great Divine rite and the advocators of other contrary earthly projects. It differentiates between this journey to which the whole existence responds and the human nature finds comfort in, and other projects which, if they do not clash, go against existence and are alien to the human nature.

Labaik Allahumma Labaik is a very nice dua for every Muslim to know. you can listen to the audio bellow:

Quranic Dua to Remove Fear and Anxiety

Anyone who is terrified of his enemy or fears the approach of a calamity should recite the verse bellow excessively. His fears will disappear Insha-Allah and any possible calamity will be averted with Allah’s Help.

فَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا ۖ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ (Quran 12:64)

“… But Allah is the best guardian, and He is the most merciful of the merciful.”

How to repent to Allah for forgiveness of all sins

As for sin, we all are victims. We make mistakes. Sometimes, we strive to Allah, but at times, we shy away. Mindful of him at times and become heedless at other times. Man is never free from sin.

From the words of the Holiest Prophet, we read:

“All the sons of Adam make mistakes, but the best of those who make mistakes are those who frequently repent.” (Tirmidhi)

Allah created us with this human nature, heedlessness and shortcomings is a part of it. But Allah is so merciful, He opened the gate of repentance for mankind, and enjoins us to turn to Him with obedience whenever and wherever.

When lost, your only option is to await aid. You need to see the light of hope, but where exactly do you seek it?

Beloved brothers and sisters! There is light for those who really want to see. It is loud and clear. It is only one way; it is the way of repentance. That is the way towards salvation and success.

It is waiting for you. All you have to do is to approach it and you will find a rescue. When we read from the Holy Quran, Allah The Exalted said:

But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance. (Quran 20:82)

This is our call! From our creator! He calls us to repent, and He informed that He forgives all sins for those who repent, regardless of the extent and greatness of our sins. Allah said:

Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Quran 39:53)

Now how should you seek this forgiveness from Allah?

Do you want to return to Allah in repentance? Do you realize that happiness can’t be found in following your desires and lusts or sins?

I asked myself these questions and I feel you might not know the way to repentance, how to start and how to endure it.

Well, when Allah desires goodness for one of His slaves, He shows him the way to achieve it. Below is a proven way that Allah Almighty wants you to sincerely turn to him.

more dua here!

Alhamdulillah! Following the above steps means all your sins should be forgiven Insha-Allah. But how do you know that you are forgiven? What are the signs that will tell you that your repentance is accepted?

Is that even necessary? You may ask.

Yes, it is necessary. Seeking for forgiveness from Allah shouldn’t be taken lightly. We are all sinners, and without Allah’s forgiveness, there is no other way of escaping the punishment of our sins.

Since you’re here, let’s continue with some of the signs that will tell you whether your repentance has been accepted or not.

Becoming Better

Becoming better than the condition you were in before your repentance means you are safe, Allah has accepted your repentance and has blessed you with goodness.

Having the fear to return to the same sin

No one should feel safe while he does not know the decree of Allah for him; fear should accompany you until you hear the angels say, as Allah Almighty says in the Quran:

… Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised.” (Quran: 41:30)

Only then fear and worry would disappear.

Feeling the weight of the sin even after repentance.

Ibn Mas’ood said, “As a result of his sin, a believer feels as though he is sitting under a mountain which he fears will fall on his head. On the other hand, a sinner feels that his sins are just like a fly which landed on his nose and that he can simply drive it away by a simple move of his hand.”

Feeling humbleness and humility in your heart before Allah.

There is nothing dearer to Allah than seeing His slave humbling and humiliating himself with him, regretting and repenting, and continuously mentioning Him.

Never Delay seeking for Forgiveness

how to repent to Allah for forgiveness

No one knows when he will die or how much is left from his time. It is sad to see some people delaying repentance by saying this is not the time for it yet, so let us enjoy our lives and when we become old we will repent.

I recommend reading the story of this old man. It’s an advice for young Muslims.

This thought is from Satan as he promises man while he has no power to grant man anything than the desires of this vanishing life.

Beloved brothers and sisters! Rush to repentance and beware of delaying. Immediate repentance from sins is good for you, so repent before death. Repent before the time when regret will not benefit you.

Repent my brother and sisters! Let’s repent before the darkness overwhelms our hearts and sins become a habit. We should all repent before we become sick and then die without getting the chance to do so.

Repenting without committing any sin!

repentance without sin

Make tawba not just for sins you have committed, but also for obligations you haven’t fulfilledClick To Tweet

Yet, some will find it hard to understand the reason why they should seek Allah’s forgiveness when they know they commit no sin. Others will watch people succeed in life while in sins every day, so they think there is no need for repentance.

Do not be deceived by the favors of Allah!

Beloved brothers and sisters, it is true that people sin a lot and disobey, and they say there are many sinners who openly disobey Allah day and night, yet they are very prosperous and the favors upon them are abundant.

Let’s listen to what our Blessed and Holiest Prophet said about such people:

If you see that Allah Has bestowed favors upon someone although he is sinning, then know that it is a way of gradually punishing him.” He then recited the verse in which Allah said:

‘So, when they forget (the warning) with which they had been reminded, We opened for them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given all of a sudden, We took them (in punishment and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows. So the root of the people who did wrong was cut off. And all the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).’

“Al-An’aam:44-45) (Ahmad)

We as believers in Allah, His Messenger, His book, and the Day of Judgment, has more than enough reasons to repent to Him each day.

How can you enjoy your wedding night when you’ve had series of pre-wedding nights? I’m talking about the Zani and the Zaniyah (fornicators). Don’t you think you should repent?

She’s not properly dressed! No hijab, no scarf, and no nothing. Instead of you preaching to her, you are shouting “wow, you look sexy! …” Brother, you are part of the problem.

As a girl, if you have to dress half naked before you can get people’s attention, then I think you have nothing to offer besides sex, you can’t be a good wife to your future husband. Remember a good wife is for a good husband so is a good husband for a good wife. Don’t you think you should repent now?

Rasulullah (saw) said “if you know what I know, you’ll laugh less and cry more “does that ring a bell to your ear? Do we have to see before we believe?

I want to have money, I want to marry a beautiful wife, I want to buy a nice car, I want to build a big house, is that all we think about? We will all die and leave all these treasures.

You think regret is when you did not marry the man/woman you wanted to marry, or did not study the course you liked? You are wrong! Regret is you descending into the grave without enough good deeds.

Rich, poor, pretty, ugly, slim, fat, literate, illiterate, white, black, sheik, Sunni, Shia, player, King, slave, the list can still continue but DEATH does not care who you are, when it’s time, it’s really time and you must Go. “Subhanallah”

Someone is dead and you are alive, someone is sick and you are healthy, someone is lost and you are guided, why then are you sad simply because someone is rich and you are poor? Why are you so ungrateful? Don’t you see the need for your repentance?

O! Boy, see this car! See that house! See the girl man! My brother, the world is just a play and illusion, its beauty doesn’t last, don’t be carried away, seek Jannah instead.

On the Day of Judgment people will be naked, but the fear of judgment will not allow you to look. Gather that fear now and stop asking, uploading or downloading nude pictures. Wrong use of Social media will take many to hell if they don’t repent! I think you should now!

You think Qiyamah is still far. The fact is that if you die today then your judgment has started just like that.

Rasulullah (SAW), said a man is in hell because of a piece of cloth that doesn’t belong to him, what about that $20 billion and public funds? Hey! Online fraudsters, what about that dollar ($$$) you snatched?

There are more than enough reason everyone should repent.

She wasn’t your wife, you had Zina with her, she became pregnant, and you made her abort. If you don’t know, this is Zina in addition to murder? Top sinner! Yet you are reluctant about your repentance?

Did I pass my exam? What’s does your results say? Did you graduate with a 1st class? Wow! Those are the only things you care about? He memorized Qur’an. Do you?

Hey! Guy how far! What’s up, Bro! Charlie! What’re all these? Are these the Islamic way of greetings? What’s wrong with Asalaamu-Alaikum?

Some men disrespecting their wives in front of their friends, what’s that? What are you trying to prove? That you’re in control?

Drive your mom to the market place and your anger then starts to rise like that of the lion. But you are a driver for girls from morning till night, and you feel good about that? You need to be forgiven.

You never shed tears even once while reciting Holy Qur’an but a failed love drama on a TV show will make you cry. You should check your Eeman!

Eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, lip stick, concealer, powder, and blusher. If you like do plastic surgery, if your heart is bad, you’re deadly ugly like King Kong.

You’ll finish your runs and when it’s time to marry you’ll start searching for a good woman/man. Hey, my brothers and sisters, good women are for good men, if you marry a holy girl, what will the holy a man do? Allah is a just ruler.

If you’re not ready you can postpone your wedding date, graduation date, election date, but you can never postpone your death date, always be ready!

You feel depressed, instead of you to recite Qur’an or pray two rakaats of Salaat, you carry earpiece and be listening to immoral musicians. They need help too. Seek Allah alone for your relief.

We are just striving and hoping for this world, we don’t know our fate, yet we sleep all night. Rasulullah (SAW) was promised Jannah yet he stood at night for Salah till his feet got swollen. (WARNING!)
